Katelyn + Erik

These two sweethearts met me at Loose Park in Kansas City for a beautiful engagement session. This was such a dreamy session because the love between sweet Katelyn + Erik was so joyful and fun to capture. They met each other on a blind date, which had been set up by mutual friends from church, and enjoyed dinner over pita bread and laughs in Westport. After that Erik said he was more nervous for their second date because he really liked this girl and, “didn’t want to mess this up”. Hehehe, what sweeties! A year later and they’re hanging with me in Loose Park getting their engagement photos taken! WOW!

When I met Katelyn at church I instantly knew she would be such a sweetie to photograph. One of my favorite moments between the two of them was when they laid Katelyn’s grandmothers quilt on the ground and flipped through their Bible and began reading together. 1 Corinthians 3:11 says, “ For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”. The sweetness between these two really inspired me and felt like a window into the Lords generous heart/love. After all, we know deep love because of God’s generous love by giving us His son, Jesus Christ. I am proud to document Katelyn and Erik story because I know their love is built on His strong and sweet foundation.
